I spent a couple of hours at my daughters today. This HAWK and the following 4 birds I took while there.

Butterflies I took on the Cherry Tree this afternoon.

Here I have 3 pictures of 2 different Buzzards. Most people think they are ugly, but I find them fascinating. The top 2 pictures are of one landing on a branch and the 3rd one is of 2 birds. If you look closely you'll see one flying by the one on the branch. They are definitely not good quality pictures but I thought they were interesting enough to share.

Cardinal After our trip to Point of Rock Park, came home and this bird was flying around in the yard and surrounding woods.

Lake Chesiden -- While Larry was trying his hand fishing I took pictures. The water was a little choppy but with the sun shining on it, it was beautiful.

I took this picture on the James River in Scottsville. Thought the reflection of the tree and sky in the water and the shadows from the tree really added to the picture.

Have tried hard to get a picture of a Cardinal. This one was high in a tree at the Reservoir. Notice the snow still on the tree.

Was at the Reservoir today and I shot this one of a duck shaking the water off himself.

2006-03-09 Larry and I drove over to Woodlake looking for ducks when I saw a crane, of course it flew before I could get a good picture. What a surprise I recieved when Judy and I were looking at the pictures. If you take a close look in the leaning tree to the left you'll see an Eagle. Hopefully I can head that way again soon. Never can tell, I might be lucky and get a good one. WISHFUL THINKING...

2006-02-03 I have this bird flying around in my yard. Its a very hard bird to take a picture of and then if I do get one its usually not very good. I took about 10 this morning and this one was the best.
