BATH COUNTY/ HIGHLAND COUNTY MAPLE SYRUP FESTIVAL

FALLING SPRINGS FALLS IN A.M.
I THOUGHT THIS WAS AN UNUSUAL WAY TO KEEP THE BUILDING UP
ONE OF THE BUILDINGS WHERE THE MAPLE SYRUP IS MADE
INSTEAD OF BUCKETS, THESE HOSE ARE NOW TAPPED INTO THE TREES AND THE SAP RUNS INTO ONE CENTRAL AREA.
THIS SHOWS HOW THE SAP USED TO BE COLLECTED
GRAPEVINE   MY MOM USED TO SWING ON THEM.  SHE FELL OFF BREAKING HER NOSE AND ARM WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG.
