While out on a ride through the countryside, I came upon this train. I enjoy taking pictures of them and then sharing them with a doctor friend who is a train enthusiast.
Today this turtle was going through the backyard. I picked it up and managed to get this really close up of its face with it just sticking its head out of the shell.
It's been quite awhile since I posted anything to this blog. Today I finally have the hummingbirds flying in and am able to get pictures. Here are the male and female.
These are wildflowers that Judy dug up years ago and we transplanted them in the yard. Don't know the correct name for them (Mom always said they were called "Mayflowers", so guess that's what we will just go with.)
Northern "Yellow-Shafted" Flicker (I think). I know the picture isn't very good but just wanted to show what was in the tree this morning. It's very overcast and I also took the picture through the window. I took out all the color and then re-colored just the birds. It helped them show up a little better.
Took picture of a male and female bluebirds on a tree outside my dining room window and the sparrow just as it had flown out of a bush and landed on the stump.
